Commuity Member Bio: Jane Hart

Jane M. Hart, Ed.D., N.C.C., joins with clients and students in building bridges of healing-across inner turmoil and trauma to shores of full, deep recovery.

Community

She blends the best of traditional and alternative models of growth and wholeness in her work with individuals and groups, having taught, consulted and counseled for over 26 years. With degrees in Sociology, Counseling, Psychological Education, intensive training with Dr. Carl Rogers, and postgraduate study at Harvard University she integrates psychotherapy, spirituality, research, and holistic health.

Jane has presented internationally on topics such as Creativity, Spirituality, Healing, Imagery, Personal Vision, Surrender, and Addictions Recovery. She has been a graduate school faculty member at four Northeast universities. In addition to psychotherapy she leads groups and retreats, presents at professional conferences, and writes on spirituality, health and personal transformation. Her current research focuses on the meaning and process of psychospiritual healing. The interviews of those who have shared their healing stories are presented on The Healing Bridge Project website.

In counseling and teaching, Dr. Hart tends to the well-being of the whole person, mind, heart, body and soul, and supports the integrity, courage and vision each one brings to the dynamic venture of growth. As one of her clients describes:

"Jane is a living example of compassion and love and gives of herself in a way that others can only heal from."

Jane lives and works outside of Philadelphia, PA and retreats to the St. Lawrence River, NY with her dog, "Yo".
