In January, IAPH sponsored a NYC
Focalizing Weekend for folks who were interested in experiencing
a personal, felt-sense of the focalizing process. The process
evolved, in part, out of Michael Picuccis last book,
Ritual
as Resource as well as our years of human consciousness
studies and personal experiences. Forty people at the event
had varied personal and cultural illuminations and, experimented
with an entirely new way of perceiving their own human
journey.
Much of the healing work we have been engaged
in for the past decade is now taking on a more subtle approach.
The well of Energy Psychology is where we will continue
to draw from as this is the domain that unequivocally speaks
to our organic evolution as a community. This gradual shift
been inspired by what we acknowledge as Focalizings
primary contributors (click
for full list) which is profoundly informed by the work
of A.H.
Almas, Bert
Hellinger, Peter
A. Levine,
Otto Scharmer, and the late Dayashakti (Sandra Scherer)
founder of The
Wave Work.
We are presently in transition regarding our
public presentations and workshops, as we explore integrating
Focalizing and other energy psychology techniques
to best support healing specific to the doorways
below.
In the meantime, Focalizing
Sessions, a divergence from Dr. Michael Picuccis
psychotherapy and consulting practices, are designed for individuals,
couples or organizations that for whatever reason are stuck
(i.e., life crises, serious illness, etc.) creating high anxiety,
immobility, and/or depression. A more detailed explanation
is in the brochure at the above link. It is challenging to
put something into words that can only be valued once it is
experienced. We invite you to visit the www.focalizing.com
for additional information and, while there check out Michaels
Musings. It gives you a sense of what hes been
up to and the healing resources weve found so valuable
to our new integration process.
In addition to the resources you find on this
web site and the many links and books listed herein, we are
always available to recommend resources in the NYC area. Outside
of the NY area, try the practitioners listings at the
Foundation for Human Enrichment or The Wave Work Fellowship
for referrals that are seasoned with helping people quickly
find regulation for an out-of-whack organic system.
Peruse the nine doorways below as they call
to you. Join our online community (below left) to receive
updates, notice of events, retreats, research and resources
on reducing suffering and creating possibility.

Executive Director, Focalizer
